The Brit Asian - The Journey of Brit Asian Music

In 2020, the British Asian music scene is thriving more than ever before with the likes of Zayn Malik and Naughty Boy right at the top, having cruised across into the mainstream, but it didn’t happen overnight did it? It’s certainly been a roller coaster of a journey from the blaring sounds of Bhangra in Southall coming out of old tape recorders back in the 70s to real interwoven mainstream sounds influenced by the US. Brit Asian music has certainly been on a journey, so let’s have a look at all the highs of this ride in the UK so far!
